Team Tony
Team Tony was born in 2007 when long time friends Jamie Wilkinson & Sam Archer from Portsmouth, England joined forces to push their mutual love of underground house music.
Jamie started mixing back in 1999, with deep house music his choice of taste, heavily influenced by the likes of Derrick Carter, Halo & Hipp-E and Tyrant. He quickly started to make a name for himself on the local scene and ran his own successful night ‘YEAH! YEAH!’ for 3 years.
Sam’s passion for house music was evident from an early age, often losing himself on the dance floors of ibiza when he should have been at school. He was soon securing guest slots at all the big local nights.
Team Tony’s sound is a constantly evolving melting pot of house, minimal and techno. they often jet across europe to party, always returning full of inspiration. Their sets are twisted, energetic and packed with a pulsating groove. Their short time together has seen them play at established nights as superfreq, wonderland, veryveryverywrongindeed and punchfunk. Also spinning at top clubs such as ministry of sound, eden (ibiza) and Junk Club. They have supported dj’s such as Konrad Black, Mr.C, Adultnapper, Michel De Hey, Dan Ghenacia and Ben Watt.
Their creative drive has seen them venture into the studio and resulted in some trademark dance floor bombs. Their debut release is forthcoming on Sonat Records, Berlin.
